Small bushy tree, quick growing to 6m. Grey bark, tears in strips. Large, heart-shaped, thin jagged leaves, bright green and 10-25cm long. Clusters of white flowers with yellow stamens, from early spring to mid-summer. Brown fruit, round and covered with long spines. Light wood. Frost tender. Requires open site.
