Turn your smartphone or tablet into a powerful video production tool!
This hands-on workshop is designed for anyone who wants to shoot, edit and publish short videos directly from their mobile devices. In just half a day, you’ll gain practical skills that feel like a year of film school condensed into an accessible, engaging format.

Baz Caitcheon, workshop facilitator, is New Zealand’s leading smartphone video trainer. He’s worked with major media companies like Stuff, TVNZ, Whakaata Māori and others to help them shoot, edit and publish videos using mobile devices. With decades of experience in broadcast and digital media, Baz brings practical expertise and a passion for storytelling.

What You’ll Learn
  • How to plan, shoot and edit videos using your phone or tablet.
  • Tips for publishing content straight from your device to social platforms.
  • Cross-transferable skills for those who later prefer editing on laptops or desktops.
  • Insights into recommended third-party gear (lapel, directional, and wireless microphones; stabilisers; lighting) to elevate your production quality.
