Event details

Join our regular volunteer group for a special regeneration working bee at the source of Te Ara Awataha (the river at the heart of Northcote’s Greenway): Papa Ki Awataha at Jessie Tonar Reserve!

About the Greenway: Northcote’s greenway runs through the heart of the town, following the recently daylighted Awataha stream. This greenway connects several local reserves with each other and with the community, creating a vibrant, interconnected natural space. Our work on the ecosystems along this stream started in 2019 at what is now called Papa Ki Awataha | Jessie Tonar Reserve.

This is a fantastic opportunity to:

  • Connect with nature and your community
  • Gain valuable knowledge in native bush regeneration
  • Make a tangible impact on your local environment

Join us on the 8th of March, and then join our follow up events on the 17th of May and 14th of June where we will also be planting trees at this reserve for the season.
