Join us in learning te ao Māori approach to restoration!
Hands On Ecology workshop series is designed for community restoration groups and anyone keen to learn about restoration ecology through a te ao Māori lens. A 3-hour session offers practical skills for restoring private and public spaces, and may include up to 2 hours of walking—please dress appropriately and bring water/snacks.
This session covers:
- How we connect through whakapapa to these ecological spaces
- Looking at elements to design your restoration including hau, wai and whenua
- Site specific species & endangered ecologies
If you’re part of a restoration or reserve group, please include the group’s name in the Organisation section.
Booking for this event is essential, as spaces are limited for health and safety reasons.
Please ensure that you individually register every person intending to join on the day.
