Join us in learning te ao Māori approach to restoration!
Hands On Ecology workshop series is designed for community restoration groups and anyone keen to learn about restoration ecology through a te ao Māori lens. A 3-hour session offers practical skills for restoring private and public spaces, and may include up to 2 hours of walking—please dress appropriately and bring water/snacks.
This session covers:
- Identification of environmental weeds
- Methodologies for control
- Windrow weeds and weed methodology identification
- Biosecurity – prevention in public spaces reserves and native plant nursery surrounds
If you’re part of a restoration or reserve group, please include the group’s name in the Organisation section.
Booking for this event is essential, as spaces are limited for health and safety reasons.
