Event details
Join us in regenerating Awataha Stream in Northcote and letting it flow freely.
What to Expect: We’ll work along the stream bank removing invasive plants that restrict water flow and prevent native species from thriving. You’ll receive hands‑on learning guided by a Kaipātiki Project ecologist, with all tools and equipment provided.
About the Greenway: Northcote’s greenway runs through the heart of the town, following the recently daylighted Awataha stream. This greenway connects several local reserves with each other and with the community, creating a vibrant, interconnected natural space.
This is a fantastic opportunity to:
- Meet like-minded people
- Connect with nature and your community
- Gain valuable knowledge in native bush regeneration
- Make a tangible impact on your local environment
Thanks to Auckland Council for supporting this initiative.
