SPEAKER SERIES: How can we ensure long-term sustainability for coastal communities that depend on subsistence lifestyles?
With worldwide rapid changes to marine resource use and environmental changes, this question has never been more important.
Ocean champion and Phd student, Ant Vavia is determined to answer this question and more. Among many other significant questions, he asks, “how should we understand and create models that bring traditional and western epistemologies together that serve key common environmental goals.”
Stick around at our EcoHub after the evening’s talk, for stimulating conversations about ecology, environment and new technologies over snacks and warm drinks.
Please consider contributing Koha towards Kaipātiki Project for hosting this talk.
